Pomegranate Berry Smoothie Recipe for Fresh Antioxidant Boost

One of the unexpected perks of the holiday break for me is having more time to exercise. Despite the cookies, cakes, and rich holiday dishes, the end of the year meant deadlines were met and my biggest work push was finished. During my busiest months my workout routine inevitably slips, and I noticed it the minute I was able to return to regular exercise. Even with sweets everywhere, I started getting stronger again—gradually but surely.

Now that the kids are back in school, I finally caught up with my workout buddies for a long overdue sweat session. It felt fantastic to run outside and catch up with everyone. The year is off on the right foot, and I’ve promised myself that next holiday season I won’t let work crowd out my health and fitness again. I’ll have to revisit this post next November to remind myself of that promise.

With each Peloton ride and outdoor boot camp my energy comes back, and to keep that boost going all day I’ve been reaching for smoothies more often. Lately my go-to is this Pomegranate Berry Smoothie to help refuel and rehydrate after workouts. It’s loaded with antioxidants and vitamin C and offers anti-inflammatory benefits—great for staying healthy during colder months. If you’re working on resolutions or want a new smoothie to try, give this one a shot and tell me how you like it.
