Create a striking Giant Carrot Centerpiece for your Easter table using an orange playground cone. “Plant” the carrot in a clear jar or vase filled with potting soil, then fill the cone with jelly beans or your favorite Easter candy for a festive touch.

Giant Carrot Centerpiece
This easy and affordable centerpiece is made with items from the Dollar Store: an orange playground cone, artificial greenery stem picks, and candy. Place the finished carrot on a decorative plate and surround it with faux grass, decorative beads, small bunnies, or extra candy for a polished Easter display.

Carrot Centerpiece Supplies:
- Playground cone – a small orange cone from the Dollar Store
- Green stem picks – artificial greenery or floral picks from the Dollar Store
- Jelly beans or Easter candy of choice

Other Supplies Needed
- Clear jar or vase
- Potting soil
- Small shovel or scoop
- Optional: paper towels to reduce candy usage

Instructions:
Because the cone won’t stand upright on its own when inverted, we “plant” it in a jar of soil for stability. Follow these simple steps to assemble your centerpiece:

1. Fill the bottom of a clear jar or vase about one-third full with potting soil. This provides the base that will hold the cone securely.
2. Remove any reflective tape or labels from the cone. Turn the cone upside down so it resembles a carrot, then place it into the jar on top of the soil.

3. Add more potting soil around the cone, packing it gently but firmly so the cone stays upright and centered. The soil should support the cone and keep it from wobbling.
4. Fill the inverted cone with jelly beans or the candy of your choice. If you want to use less candy, stuff a small amount of paper towel into the bottom of the cone before filling.
Tip
Paper towels or lightweight filler at the cone’s tip reduce the amount of candy needed and help create a smooth candy fill.

5. Finish by inserting green stem picks into the top center of the cone to mimic carrot greens. Adjust stems and surrounding decor until you achieve the look you want.
This cheerful, budget-friendly craft makes a whimsical addition to an Easter tablescape and doubles as a candy holder for guests. It’s a great quick project for families, classrooms, or spring entertaining.
