Description
These paleo chocolate covered strawberries are incredibly easy to make and turn out just like the ones from a shop. Best part: they’re delicious and naturally elegant with very little effort.
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh strawberries with leaves
- 16 oz dark chocolate bar, broken into pieces
- Optional: chopped roasted almonds, pecans, or macadamia nuts
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax or parchment paper and set aside.
- Wash strawberries and pat dry thoroughly; moisture prevents the chocolate from sticking well.
- Melt the chocolate using a double boiler or a heatproof bowl over simmering water. Hold a strawberry by the stem or skewer it with a toothpick, dip into the melted chocolate, and twist to coat evenly. Place the dipped strawberry on the prepared sheet. If using nuts or sprinkles, press them onto the chocolate before it sets.
- Repeat with the remaining strawberries, then chill them in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until the chocolate is firm.
