The big game is almost here, and the most important topic is the food. I love hosting a Super Bowl party even though I’m not a die-hard football fan. I tune in for the commercials, pick a team to cheer for, and—most importantly—plan the spread. This year I created a festive football snack board that’s both delicious and crowd-pleasing.
In past years I leaned into buffalo chicken for game-day dishes. I’ve made buffalo chicken pasta and fried buffalo chicken tacos, and I keep coming back to that spicy, tangy flavor paired with crispy textures. This season I wanted to bring all my favorite bites together on one board.

The centerpiece of my board is a hot Reuben dip, baked inside a football-shaped pumpernickel loaf I picked up from my local Lunds & Byerlys bakery. During football season they bake this fun loaf on weekends, and it makes a perfect vessel for a warm, savory dip. The hot Reuben dip captures the classic sandwich flavors—Thousand Island-style dressing, corned beef, sauerkraut, and melted Swiss cheese—served straight from the bread bowl.

The Reuben dip is rich, tangy, and gooey, exactly what you want for dipping toasted bread pieces or crackers. Baking it inside the pumpernickel loaf adds flavor and makes for a festive presentation that feels special without extra fuss.
No football board would be complete without buffalo chicken. My go-to method for wings is the air fryer—crispy skin and juicy meat without the oil splatter. I served Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Wings alongside a simple homemade blue cheese dip. The dip only takes a few extra minutes to make and is far superior to bottled dressings, bringing creamy, tangy balance to the spicy wings.

To round out the board I added mini hot dogs and fresh guacamole. The mini hot dogs are quick to assemble: heat little smokies and tuck them into small buns or sliced regular buns for convenient, handheld bites. They’re satisfying, nostalgic, and a nice contrast to the other items. For a bright, creamy counterpoint I made a straightforward guacamole and surrounded it with chips for easy dipping. Chips and guac are always a favorite and tie the board together.

This snack board balances bold flavors and easy-to-eat items, so guests can graze throughout the game. With the hot Reuben dip as the centerpiece, crispy air-fried buffalo wings, mini hot dogs, and fresh chips and guacamole, your Super Bowl spread will satisfy a crowd and look great on the table.
