Hearing Charlie Brown’s familiar voice instantly took me back to my childhood, and I was excited to share that nostalgia with my boys during a recent family movie night. We curled up by the fireplace and enjoyed the newly remastered Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown, following Charlie, Lucy, Peppermint Patty, Linus, Snoopy, Woodstock and the rest of the Peanuts gang as they head off to summer camp.

Synopsis:
Camp life brings its own blend of charm and chaos: fresh air, questionable camp food, and rival campers from the other tents. Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Snoopy and Woodstock are up for the challenge. When the Big Rafting Race finally arrives, teams take to the water—boys versus girls, and Snoopy and Woodstock doing their own thing—facing rushing rapids, unpredictable weather and underhanded tricks from the bunkhouse bullies. Teamwork, courage and leadership are put to the test. Will Charlie Brown rise to the occasion and prove himself a leader?
Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown is one of the few full-length classic Peanuts films and originally premiered in 1977. Watching it as a family was a delight—the kids loved Snoopy’s antics, and we all laughed at the camp’s mix-ups and the river race’s slapstick moments. There were humorous little inconsistencies, like snowy nights paired with daytime flip-flops and shorts, but those quirks only added to the film’s charm. It’s wholesome, lighthearted entertainment that’s perfect for a family movie night.
Race For Your Life, Charlie Brown arrives on DVD for the first time ever on February 10, 2015
